I strip for girls from all walks of life...
That's what I love about this job -- I get to meet doctors, teachers, lawyers, nurses, authors, and even CEOs. Once I even met a lady who lived near and partied with former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (who is now serving time in federal prison). These women come from broad backgrounds, and they share their fascinating stories with me. Hence, I learn a little about different careers with each party.
During one of the bachelorette parties in January, I met a girl who used to work as a political journalist and an aide to Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign. She also worked as an aide for the Republican Party in general, sharing a lot of interesting (and scandalous) things about many of the candidates. We talked in the kitchen for an hour after my performance about her experience.
To protect her privacy, I won't be sharing any of her information about her or her affiliations (except the Mitt Romney campaign). We'll just refer to her as "Dixie."
The 2012 Republican Presidential Candidates. |
Dixie began by saying this: "I'm a registered Republican and all, but I don't really get involved in politics anymore."
"Why's that?" I asked, intrigued.
"Well, I can't tell you about the Democrats, because I obviously didn't work with any of them--although I'm sure most of them are just as crooked--but, I will say this: After traveling with and getting to know some of these (Republican) candidates, I can't morally bring myself to support them, because most of them are just horrible people. I just have moral issues with voting for someone who I know is a crook."
Dixie continued on by saying that she interviewed, spoke to, even spent time with family members of the various Republican candidates. We went down the list, and here's what she had to say about each one of them:
on Newt Gingrich - "He's a very bad person. Probably one of the worst candidates of the bunch as far as dishonesty and corruption goes."
on Rick Santorum - "He's on a power trip--quite full of himself, actually."
on Mitt Romney - "He's a bit moderate for the party, but he's a really good guy. He always treated us aides very well. I felt great working for him. I knew he wouldn't win though."
on Rick Perry - "He's a nice guy, but comes from a wealthy family and is used to having money handed to him. His family is really sweet."
Dixie brought up this incident with Governor Perry:
"Rick Perry just recently had back surgery and was on a lot of pain meds during that debate. He should've been resting instead of campaigning. I was with his family after that debate, and it was rough. I felt really bad for them."
on Herman Cain - "That scandal he had going during his campaign was just a tip of the iceberg. I heard stories about him having strippers and drugs on his private jet. That man is crooked and definitely not presidential material."
on Ron Paul - "I interviewed him once during the campaign. He's a real sweetheart, and one of the few honest guys in politics."
Dixie even delved back to the 2008 campaign with Senator John McCain, stating that he had several vices that aren't suitable for a presidential candidate. "Basically, the stuff going on in McCain's plane was so bad that Sarah Palin had to take a separate jet because she couldn't stand being around it. He's just another corrupt career politician."
In the end, I hope Dixie found my strip show as entertaining as I found her stories.
